Edit a restricted document - Urgent

From: Raman on 13 May 2008 21:33 Hi, I have allowed only certain parts of a word document (Not a docx) to be edited in Word 2007 in compatibility mode. Problem i m having is when I open that document in WOrd 97 or Word XP I cannot edit those areas I am allowed to. Where as it works when I open the doucment in office 2007? What do i do? For your information, I went to Review | Protect Document and selected Allow only this type of editing in the document and selected everyone and then selected the area to be allowed for editing. Please help.... Raman
