Debugging Embedded Dram - Need Help Hi - I'm attempting to debug a problem with an existing embedded controller board. The board uses a MC68020 and uses either 1 or 2 banks of 30pin simm memory. I think this is a 199? design. The board supports either 1M or 4M memory. The SIMM memory is configured to be accessed as a 16bit wide data bus. Th... 23 Jun 2008 16:51

tiny inductor with every bypass cap? Hello, I was looking at the schematics for a DSP-based board, running at 100 MHz. They have a tiny inductor with every bypass cap around the DSP. Do you think this is necessary? This DSP has analog stuff built-in. If we do not need analog, can the inductors be eliminated? Thanks, T.I. ... 26 Jun 2008 08:25
The Right PCB House Hello, I need to have a 4-layer board made, a prototype, 2 boards, nothing fancy. which oscilloscope? Hello, My boss asked me to evaluate oscilloscopes and to recommend one. I know Tektronix and LeCroy. Which is better? Are they any others? Ideally, we would get a 4-channel scope at 300 MHz, with a 5 million sample record length. Thanks for your advise. T.I. ... 3 Jul 2008 15:35
Hardware before SPI interfacing Hi, I will connect my ADE7758(metering IC) to a Z8 Encore! MCU through SPI (4pins: SCK,MISO,MOSI,CS). My problem is, although the input and output voltage ratings of the two chips match(5-6Volts input and output), I feel that there should be some hardware in between, meaning, I should not DIRECTLY connect the SPI pins ... 23 Jun 2008 20:57
