Mini USB cable with all 5 pins + shield = 6 wires?
Due to a PCB "oops" in an embedded project, I'm wondering if anyone knows where to buy mini-usb cables with all 5 pins plus the connector shield wired through. I saw some indication that a motorola bar code scanner might have used the connector for RS232 and used all the wires, but am not doing well on sourcing ... 24 Jul 2008 23:11
Finding power - gnd shorts
I have a small module that is shorted between the +12 volt plane and ground. I am having a hard time finding where the short is so it can be fixed. The bare boards were supposed to be tested, so I don't suspect the board itself. I have visually inspected everything I can including looking under the chips as mu... 26 Jul 2008 01:48
max. number of mapped spaces for ARM 926ES
Please, does anybody knows what's the limit of memory mapped regions for cache through CP15 in ARM 926EJ-S? Where do I find that info usually? I do not see that in user's manual and also I cannot read back that info or see it like in PowerPC through DBAT-IBAT registers. Thanks. ... 22 Jul 2008 11:38
USB2.0 Flash Controller for Microcontroller project
I'm building a data logger with a microcontroller and logging to a microSD card over time and then want to be able to copy it off fast over USB with a USB 2.0 Flash controller like those found in PC flash card readers. Cheapest USB microcontroller?
Does anyone know the lowest cost microcontroller with a USB interface? I have done some Googling, and it seems there are quite a few USB microcontrollers based on either ARM or 8051. Either is okay, but they are not very cheap. They are all over $3 @ qty 1000. The cheapest I have found so far is the Atmel AT9... 26 Jul 2008 00:47
ARM/Linux: Is this a cross-compiler bug? (memcpy doesn't work as expected)
Hi, I tried two different Linux/ARM cross-compiler on the following code ( see the last part of this message), one is from ELDK (http:// www.denx.de/wiki/DULG/WebHome), another is from our board vendor, both result a same error. Below is the running output on an ARM920T board: before: p1: 0xfc 0x01 0x12 b... 23 Jul 2008 14:19
