Epson CX5400 cleaning station purge tube detached

From: bilby on 3 Feb 2005 19:01 The cleaning station purge tube has fallen off in my CX5400. Does anyone know an easy way to reconnect it? I have tried for hours and hours but can't seem to get the thing back on. Using tweezers and fat fingers isn't working for me. Any help would be most appreciated!
From: Arthur Entlich on 4 Feb 2005 07:39 This is a very common problem, and personally, I think Epson needs to take some responsibility for it. It was a design error where during cartridge replacement it can occur quite easily. However, that's not what you asked... I wonder if a hemostatic pliers might help. these are a small scissors-like tool which usually has a locking mechanism in the handle, and a thin ribbed tapered front end, sometimes it is curved. They used to be very costly, but now they are sold many places and some are made in India and Asia and are only a few bucks. I am not sure they will help or not, but from the descriptions I have heard, it might be an answer.
