From: steve on 28 Feb 2006 16:11 I've just had my pc crash and burn, so I had to re-format and start again. I've got an EPSON PERFECTION 1670 scanner which is working fine, but I can't find the cd that came with it so I can't re-install Epson Smart Panel. On talking to Epson Tech Support they say they no longer support Epson Smart Panel and could only suggest some other crappy scanner software which is useless. I really need Epson Smart Panel. Could any kind soul send me the cd or relevant files via Dropload (www.dropload.com) or let me know where I might download it myself? Please don't suggest the Epson website as they just don't have it. All they have is an upgrade or patch which requires you to have Epson Smart Panel already on your pc. steve(a)thegreygoat.co.uk I'll be your slave forever if you can help. Steve

It's been a long time, but isn't the scan utility virtually identical to what used to be called smart panel? If so, it's there for the taking. Ken
From: steve on 1 Mar 2006 11:39 Thanks for replying, Ken, but the Scan Utility is nothing like Epson Smart Panel. When I went to Epson Tech Support they redirected me to the 'replacement' for Smart Panel, which was a piece of junk called Epson Scan....it's truly dire. I really like Epson Smart Panel, which is why I'm still looking for it. Thanks Steve

The older Driver had Epson Scan included.
From: Chris on 4 Mar 2006 18:38 You could try this link http://www.newsoftinc.com/products/product-main.asp?productid=NAI0021 If this is what you are after, I have Perfection 3200 Photo, the original smart panel was produced by newsoftinc. Not to sure if they they have earlier version avail.
