How about having a thread naming good and bad ink suppliers, by now we
should be able to create a ' clogging table'.

That is a great idea but it will not help because of the whores in this
industry. If we could identify the mfg/formulator then the idea would
be great. Avoid the bad ones where ever they are sold.

But since the hawkers do not want to (most of them) tell you what you
are buying it is easy to go from vendor to vendor and repeatedly buy the
same ink. You do not even know if you get the same ink from the same
vendor at different times.

But what you said could be a good start.

You've appear to have been soundly ripped-off. You'll find prices at
MX2.co.uk a little more reasonable.

If you take a look at: http://tinyurl.com/bcts8 you'll find that it sells
a set of four genuine Epson Durabrite cartridges for your printer for
ý44.96, delivered. Black is ý17.99 and the colours are ý8.99 each.

Alternatively, at: http://tinyurl.com/784bq you'll see some third-party
cartridges with dye-based inks for ý10.16 per set, or just over ý8 if you
buy three sets. Black is ý2.69 and the colours are ý2.49 each. You may
have to add postage to those prices, by the look of it.

You may be able to better those prices elsewhere but that's an example of
what you can save with a little research. It pays to shop around.

I'd appreciate details on how to either change the pads or fit a waste
bottle on the 2100/2200. Mine has just thrown the "parts at the end of
their life" message and whilst I have reset the counter I'd still like
to make sure there's no risk of a future disaster.
