From: Rich Bagnall on 17 Apr 2008 16:50 Does anybody know how to export a Director application to work with a Mac? I have exported using the 'Mac Projector' but it won't actually play on Macs. Am I missing something here? Cheers, Rich
From: Mike Blaustein on 17 Apr 2008 17:08 You publish it for Mac in the Publish Settings. When you have published it, it will place a file with the .hqx extension in the moviePath. DO NOT UNARCHIVE THE FILE ON A PC. You need to unarchive it on a Mac, then it will work (assuming there aren't scripting problems that prevent it from working). It would help of course if you were to define exactly what errors you are getting, and what exactly is not working.
From: Rich Bagnall on 17 Apr 2008 17:41 Sorry for not stating the error message, but I'm pretty sure it couldnt open the .osx.hqx file in anything. What do you mean by unarchive it? Do you mean delete the .hqx? Thanks
From: Mike Blaustein on 17 Apr 2008 17:45 ..hqx is an archive format... like .zip. On a Mac, you can open them with Stuffit. I think you can use the built in "Archive Utility" that comes with Mac OSX (at least it comes with Leopard and Tiger...) Once you unarchive it, it will be a file with the extension .osx and it will be an executable file that will run on Macs as long as you do not copy it onto a PC.
