Anyone use them and if so can anyone tell me a good SILENT one?
Mine were cheap and I'm regretting not spending more cash on quality.
(it was all they had in the shop at the time)
They are, "safecom 3.5 External boxes" and they seem to have become
noisier over time.
I'm looking for some silent, or just quiet ones.
thanks in advance.

Actually it's the hard drive enclosure I'm talking about and not the hard
drive
it's self, as the subject might imply.

I have 2 external Maxtor 300GB USB drives and they are both silent
drives. I can't even hear them when they are being accessed.

My new 500 GB Maxtor One Touch is almost silent.

I thought I said, it's not the hard drives but the enclosures I'm in
need of as they are making all the noise. Both my hard drives are Maxtor's
(I have 2 that are sat in separate external caddies/enclosures or what ever
you call them)
I don't think the drives them selves are particularly noisy, it's the crappy
fans on
the enclosures.
I'm not looking to buy new hard drives, just the enclosures.
