There seems to be something wrong with the character encoding of
Firefox 3. It does not stick to the values set, but need changing each
time the browser starts up.
Have a look at this page:
http://radio.weblogs.com/rankingsByPageReads.html
Scroll down and you'll see some question marks.
Maybe it's only Macs, but there is no way to set the prefs differently.
It keeps changing back.

I don't have Firefox 3 (still using version 2), so the page renders fine
here.

I'm not seeing this on my iBook G4, OS 10.4.11.

It may be typical for Intel Macs.
