From: captain_kirk on 27 Sep 2005 15:28 I wondered if anyone can tell me if it is easier to connect to a mysql database with Flash 8. I have got FlashMX Pro but so far have not been able to find anything to help to connect and read the contents of a database. The only improvements for Flash 8 on the the macromedia website relates to Video enhancement and animation effects. I would appreciate any comments. Thank you. Kirk
From: Sneelock on 27 Sep 2005 15:56 It's pretty easy to hook up to MySQL with flash, but as all web pages, you need to use PHP or ASP and the like, you read/write though the server pages to/from flash. Far as I know, there is no built in client/server api in flash, maybe in version 12?
