From: JeremyCS on 1 Dec 2005 00:15 I recently started a project in Flash MX and them worked on it in Flash 8. Now it will not let me save it as a Flask MX file. In another forum I read that if you have this problem, you need to save it to Flash MX 2004, then open it into Flash MX 2004 and save it for Flash MX, since Flash only saves 1 version back. Do you know where I can get the trial download for Flash MX 2004, so I can get this project saved for Flash MX. However, if there is another way to do this, please let me know.
From: dan mode on 1 Dec 2005 00:21 Macromedia no longer offers the 2004 MX version. You'll have to try and find it else where. From: Chris (mudbubble) on 1 Dec 2005 00:28 or just upload your MX 2004 FLA somewhere and someone here can open it and save it down to MX and send it back to you. ****************************************** --> Team Macromedia --> www.mudbubble.com --> www.keyframer.com JeremyCS wrote: > I recently started a project in Flash MX and them worked on it in Flash 8. From: 123456wret on 18 Dec 2005 10:57 I know that Macromedia is completely obsessed with getting ahold of our money by making it impossible to get anything but Studio 8 products, but this really is the limit. You mean Macromedia would rather run a file conversion service than just offer the previous version? That seems to be taking greed to a bizarre extreme.

wow - i read that 3 times and have absolutely no clue what you are trying to say - only that is sounds quite harsh. Let's get some tings straight because it's apparent you do not know what you are talking about here. 1. I do not work for macromedia - i am not en employee - i am a volunteer here on this forum just like you. ok? 2. Macromedia is obsessed with making money? is that all you think drives them? so if you ran macromedia you would give flash away for free? then your company would have to file chapter 11 and then there would be no more support unless somebody bought flash and of course they would charge money for ir also. You do or do not understand that companies who make products put a lot of money into a product - sell it for a price that allows them to pay their employees and overhead to continue making the product better - it's called a profit. Why do so many people here start to complain about MM being errr, what's the word.....oh yeah...."successful". 3. So from my comment about telling the person to make his/her source available so that I or anyone else would volunteer our time and effort to download it, open it in our verion of flash, save it down to the version they need and upload for them so that they won't have to purchase the product thereby saving them money is a "macromedia-based file conversion service"? please - do us a favor and either think about what you are saying before rudely pointing a finger at someone or at least educate yourself about that person before being so rude. thank you merry xmas. ****************************************** --> Team Macromedia --> www.mudbubble.com --> www.keyframer.com 123456wret wrote: > I know that Macromedia is completely obsessed with getting ahold of our money > by making it impossible to get anything but Studio 8 products, but this really > is the limit.
