Buttons not working properly I have several buttons which move you to different points on the timeline. There are four that move you backwards, and four that move you forwards. This was first developed in Flash 4, but I have recently tried to update it in a Trail version of CS3. The problem is the buttons don't move as they are supposed to... 6 May 2008 21:24
Text box GoTo Is it possible to use a text box to move you to a specific position? If I have a long timeline which can be accessed by NextFrame buttons, can I instead (or as well as) have a text box, into which I will type a name or number which relates to a frame label and will take me to that frame? For example, if I had... 6 May 2008 21:24
Using MouseEvent with Movie Clips You pretty much hit it on the head too! You can have the submovies reference the parent movie, as in: (this.parent as MovieClip).do_whatever; I have had less luck in using: this.parent.do_whatever though it works in some circles. Your parent movieclip is really a DisplayObjectContainer as opposed to b... 6 May 2008 21:24
About flash, help sorry but you will need to do so if you're going to use Flash. so the first thing to decide is: are you going to use ActionScript2 or 3? in AS2 we use the getURL method - with an 'onPress' handler for you button - however you also need to place your scripts on the timeline - so make a new layer above the 'bu... 6 May 2008 20:28

Invalid Argument with Flash Toolbar I'd tell Adobe support about this directly - this is a user based help forum, but this seems a technical issue. I'd say reinstall. ... 6 May 2008 20:28
Changing in frame per second It's possible that you have too many things animating at the same time. That's the best I can offer without a better idea of what's going on in the banner. Why are you using such a high frame rate? The Flash default is 12 fps, which is kind of based on what the human eye can perceive (a compromise of sorts ... 6 May 2008 20:28

end of swf playback Hello to All - Trying to set up a webpage so that when a Flash movie has finished playing some code will run. Is there a way to tell when the movie is finished playing without using Flash itself? When I encode the sfw to fla (using SUPER) the resulting quality in the fla is very poor and can't be used, so if... 6 May 2008 20:28 |
