Trying to get info on how this is configured.

My default sound device is not the one I play music etc through.
Therefore sound/video pgms have to use hw:1, dsp1 etc.

I have seen various posts with problems playing flash audio but nothing
so far on how to select the device. I wonder whether the firefox_dsp
variable is something that can help here.

To possibly complicate matters I have the KDE sound system disabled..
Perhaps FF has to work through that normally..?

Any thoughts appreciated on how to configure flash to use another device ..
