well, it looks like you need to clean up your code quite a bit. go here

but i think your problem might be solved if you take this:
text="#FFFFFF" out of your body tag. my guess is that since you're
applying that text color to the body tag (and therefore everything on
the page), that's why Firefox is displaying the text as that color
rather than the one you've applied to the actual text.
