Hello everyone:
I'm actually on my 3rd year of computer engineering, and I need to make a
"want to be a millionaire" kind game, which is a part of the project we must
make for the end of the year. The tool they told us to use is Macromedia
Director, but as we don't have any idea, and we can't really find a good manual
for the kind of job we must make with Director, I come here to ask you if you
have some tips, manuals or suggestions for us to, at least, start making
something decent =)
Nothing more, thank you very much for your attention,
Aran

Hi Aran,

A must see learning resource for Director is:

I'm not just saying that because my name is Dean. :)

There's also a resouces page with every important Director site and resource

Hi Dean,

Nice consolidated list of sites!

Not a lot of content yet, but I wonder if adobedirectoronline.com make it on
that list in the near future? (See yesterday's thread, Subj: Interesting site
re D11). Could be worth watching.

To the real reason for my post: I thought you might like to know that you
still have a link to updatestage.com here
http://www.deansdirectortutorials.com/resources/#general

I thought I remembered reading a post from you recently about Gretchen
discontinuing that site, but I don't recall whether somebody else will be
picking it up or not.

Thanks Mark. Good to see you here.

Well, actually I'm NOT behind in that front. I spoke to the author about the site
and was suggesting a few things. Hadn't added the link yet but have done so now.

All new Director sites are great. Hopefully this one will provide good resources
for the community.

Thanks for that. I have deleted that link. The full story in brief is:
* Gretchen managed updatestage.com until early 2007. She then moved on from
Director work. At that point, after speaking with Gretchen, I got involved with
updating the Mile High Table.

* Mark Andrade bought the domain from Gretchen around Feb 2007. I worked with
Mark to allow the Mile High Table to stay at the updatestage site.

* March-April - Mark retires from Director work closing shop on updatestage and
all his sites. I offer to purchase the updatestage domain but am unsuccessful. I
move Mile High table to my site:
http://www.deansdirectortutorials.com/MileHighTable/
A new location is set up for Director bugs and quirks (by Tom McCrystal): The
Director Community Bugbase
http://directorbugs.creativeperspectives.com/

* This week - Andradearts.com comes back with a message saying Mark has decided
to revive his Xtras.

Don't think updatestage will be revived. It's main resources, the Mile High Table
and bugs are now covered in other places.
