I am trying to configure a small system for use in very small venues. The
sytem would primarily be used for voice and (clean) guitar.

I am trying to configure so that I do not have lift more than 30 lbs.

I have been thinking of the following: (although have not had the
opportunity to audition any of these)

Crown XTI 1000 amp

(2) Yorkville Sound YX 10 speakers

Yamaha MG82cx mixer

Any thoughts on the above? Anyone here using the above pieces?

Thanks in advance

Danielle

I use all Y and Pulse series Yorkvilles for remote broadcasts on 4 busy
radio stations. after several years the DJs have not managed to kill them.
they stay in vans all winter (in New York). I have a pair of Y-115 on loan
to a mobile DJ who has not managed to kill them yet.

I bought a used XT1 1000 and have one show on it. It works fine and is very
light in weight.

Only problem I had with Yorkvilles in Las Vegas was they kept being stolen
from the trucks and vans.

You might consider the YX-15p. it about $100 more per speaker but you then
dont need to buy an amp.

Hi George

I distinctly remember these Mackies getting band reports when they
first came out about losing low end / distorting /over compressing
when pushed. Lately many are recommending them. Have they changed?
