Outlook 2007 performance
Is it just an accepted fact that Outlook 2007 is slower than Outlook 2003? I have a relatively new machine running xp pro with 4G ram duo core but outlook 2007 takes about 15-17 seconds to open to my inbox. I have done the usual check for RSS and add ins. I like most of the changes in O2007. But I would like to be able to have the same keystrokes in 2007 had in 2003. For example, I would like F5 to send/receive email. cannot open your default email folders.
I have moved all .ost files to a different directory, deleted and recreated profiles with different names I don't know how many times now. Opened and closed outlook and rebooted many times. Is there a way to count # of emails in a pst?
I need to find a way to count the # of emails in a .PST without actually opening it. If there are any 3rd party programs or a script I can run that would be great.
