Similar to how I remember effect/affect. I'm not affected by this

Not quite classic material (I've heard better ones from teacher friends,
pity I have a brain like a sieve and forget jokes and memorable quips
like those...) but good (if good is indeed the right word and can be
another word for 'alarming...')
