I am new to Access-self taught. I enter >&\"[Red] in the design view to change my information on a table. What came back was. SMITH STREET" in red. Running totals in a form
I want to design a small DB to record the monthly municipal costs. I would like to enter the current monthly water and electric meter readings and have the monthly useage calculated and idealy presented in the Form. Can I have a tickbox toggle a Byte Field from 1 to 0 ?

I've had problems with some users getting "Cannot find project or library_ and I changed the Reference on my machine to look at Microsoft Excel object library 8, as 11 was missing. Backup an Access '97 database without having to have Exclusive Access?
In Access 2003, there's a button to backup. However, in 97 I don't see that option. Is there a way to backup the database without having exclusive access? Access '97 will not close
I've got 4 users who have Access '97. When they exit the application I'm responsible for, the application does close, but Access remains running. They have to use Task Manager to close.
