I own an imac special edition 30 GB 500 bought new 2000. The problem I
have now is that on the screen in the background there seems to be a
shadow "browser" which fills up 95% of the screen. Because of this
everything on the screen except the edges of it (5%) becomes discolored
(yellowish) and much darker. This background "browser" or what the
heck it is, is very unclear, but it looks like there is a horizontal
menu bar on that shadow or ghost "browser". In the far left of that
top horizontal menu I think I can see the apple logo.

What the heck is happening? How do I fix this? Is my screen saying
goodbye?

Thanks in advance.

What you mean is probably expos? function. The behavior of this feature
is activated by the function keys or by moving the cursor in the corner of
your desktop.

Maybe it is maybe it isn't. I have no idea. Do you know how I get rid
off it? (It is always in the background and discolors 95% of the
screen. I've been stuck with it for weeks now.)

It might help a little if we knew what version of the Mac OS you're
running so we could separate software effects from hardware effects.
