Can anybody reccomend a good VT 100 or ANSI Terminal Emulation program
which will display 80 columns on a Treo?

The terminal emulator in the pssh package (SSH 2 for Palm OS 5) does 80
chars x 35 lines on a 320x320 Treo screen, but you need good eyesight ;-).
And yes it does vt100/vt220/xterm terminal emulation.
See http://www.sealiesoftware.com/pssh/ .
