From: jerkhoff on 23 Jul 2008 21:30 Can anyone recommend a QUALITY set of SMALL full-range speakers (10" or under) which I can pair up with a powered mixer and subwoofer for DJ and Karaoke. Looking for something super-portable which still sounds great for small informal events (I already have my big system for weddings etc). I've looked at a lot of the "portable PA" systems and they are all garbage. For example, the mixers don't even have mike preamps. I'd rather buy a decent powered mixer and pair it with a quality set of small mains, maybe 150-200 watts RMS each, and a powered subwoofer. Want it all to fit into the back seat of my car for the times when I'm travellin' light. When it comes to PA speakers, small seems to equal cheap. Anybody know of anything small and good? Thanks for any suggestions...

Check out these (in no particular order): Nexo PS10 Meyer Sound UPA-1 Turbosound TQ-445 And I'm sure there are tons of other. Give some more details. Budget for example. -- Joe Kotroczo kotroczo(a)mac.com

I'll second that motion - on both accounts. These can be used for small FOH rig or professional monitors. Great sounding. -Denny |
