Amazing. 1995 apps still open standard image files, but if you
don't submit personal data to Google (encrypted, after all, they are
VERY worried about your privacy), a google earth a few weeks old
cannot read a current google-map.
Wonder why. Maybe they figure read-only CDs are a security
risk. It's all to protect you.
