I realize I am a Day Late and a Dollar short. But if you are still
having this problem I can tell you how to solve it.

You will need to reimage the device. You can go to 'Symbol
Technologies: Support- Support' (http://tinyurl.com/4eaoqz)
Click the Software Downloads on the left side

Scroll down and click Mobile Computers

Scroll down again and choose your Device model and OS

You said you have an MC9000 so you have two to choose from.

MC9000/9060 CE
MC9000/9060 WM

And fine the correct image for your device. It should look something
like this:Microsoft Windows CE 4.2 Application and Platform Images for
RFID based MC9060-G-RFID

I didn't give you the direct link just in case you have other
Symbol/Motorola devices. You will want to know how to search for those
packages as well.

try symbol as the password it is the default password
