After some troubles with a CD, i unmounted it manually. but after that
i get the following error under konqueror when i want to access at
media:/

The KDE mediamanager is not running.

I restarted hald by:
$ /etc/rc.d/rc.hald restart
but that doesn't change anything

Go to KDE Control Center ->
KDE Components ->
Service Manager

Look in the bottom window. KDED Media Manager is the 5th line down. Make
sure it's checked and if you select it you can start and stop the service
from here as well.

yeah it is checked;

next time i get the problem i'll stop it and start it again;
