I had some serious driver issues that required re-installing XP from
disc. I did use the backup option and have a backup of all the old
data. And of course had to reinstall Office 2003.

Will third party software restore my old email and addresses or am I
out of luck?? Thanks for the help

What backup solution? Did you find your outlook.pst file when you looked through your backup? This is the only file you need to restore all of your Outlook data. Once you find it, copy it to My Documents and use Outlook to locate and open the file using File->Open->Outlook Data File.

Your calendar data, as well as messages, tasks, notes, contacts, etc. are
stored in a file with a .PST extension. Look here for all the information
you need on backup and restoration of Outlook data:
