Hello.

I'd like to connect my HP-48G to my laptop; however this laptop doesn't have
an RS-232 port, only USB; is it possible to connect the calc through this
port?

Thanks.

Hello,

yes.

All you need is a suitable USB-RS232 converter,
which is available from several brands.
I made good experiences with a very compact converter
from Sitecom. The cost was about 20 Euros.

Read the instructions supplied with the convverter.
Normally it comes with a driver which installs a virtual serial port,
which in turn will be the port your PC-based HP-48 comm software
talks to. If installation was successful, usage is totally transparent.

Thank you for your answer, it seems far easier than I feared!
