From: argatop on 24 Jun 2008 06:03 I have just received the HP 50g. The ROM was the 2.08 version, so I have downloaded the 2.09 ROM and installed it with the connectivity Kit. I have also updated the equation library. The calculator works perfectly, but the port 2 shows only 699 KB of free memory. I have downloaded FlashTools 1.02 to inspect the flash ROM, and have discovered that the E and F blanks are not available. Is it normal ? Unfortunately I have not verified the free memory before upgrading the ROM, but on my computer Emu48 runs with the 2.09 ROM, and all banks from 8 to F are available. Thank you in advance.
From: argatop on 24 Jun 2008 10:57 I have found the answer ! http://groups.google.com/group/comp.sys.hp48/browse_thread/thread/ab11667aa192d365/546b3b44a486f622# So, its normal. I was misled by the Users Guide, which says chapter 16 : Port 2 can store up to 1085 KB of data. There is also an example of the file manager, with 955 KB of free memory in port 2. HP have to update the manuals
