From: Ken Rogers on 7 Aug 2008 06:39 I had to pull apart my 5610 and a little plastic strip came out and I don't know where it goes.. Now copy and scan don't work and I suspect it's this missing strip. Anyone have a working 5610 or a detailed repair manual and can tell me where this strip goes? It is 9" by 1/2" by 0.035" thick with a nub sticking out along one edge with the label: PLATE-CALIBRATION JB61-00305A >HIPS< #2-3 I'd sure appreciate help. Thanks, Ken Rogers

Example of a Canon 8400F Scanner. The white strip in the cover is the calibration strip. From: Ken Rogers on 7 Aug 2008 08:45 One final thank-you note. After I gave up on help from HP, I posted the newsnet requests. The total time trying to get help from HP was probably 3 hours. The time it took to get the CSM1 response, its relevance and precision, allowed me to fix the printer and get it working in about an hour. So newsnet plus CSM1 is worth three time HP's worth! :) Good guy this CSM1!
