From: Darrel on 1 Feb 2008 11:40 HP LaserJet 4L hangs A couple of years ago I connected an HPLJ4L printer from its LPT1 to a USB port using an adapter cable. Worked perfectly until about a month or so ago. Now it usually prints a few times, then suddenly it hangs with a print job in its print queue. It's not possible to delete the print job - says its deleting, but doesn't delete. Have checked for loose connections. Any insights on what's happening?

You don't mention your OS but maybe an Update has affected the adaptor driver. Some of these adaptors use drivers on some Operating Systems. I would be inclined to re-install the drivers for the adaptor and the printer. Tony MS MVP Printing/Imaging
