Easier said than done with today's high capacity PCs that would require an even higher capacity external drive. I have a 750 GB USB/Firewire 800 drive on order right now that should arrive next week. Then I can back up several generations of the laptop's HD image. Right now I don't have anything that big to use. Rudy
