Derivatives on HP 35s, 15c, 32s, yadda
Something my little pea brain has never understood is why, going back to the early '80's, the HP 15c was able to preform numerical integration, but not numeric differention. Q1: Does anyone know why?? Q2: Is it within the capibilities of these calculators to find the numeric derivative of a function, given t... 25 Dec 2007 18:53
Uncyclopedia entry for the TI-83 [Benjamin Franklin, OT]
The quotation was written as: They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security (Benjamin Franklin) Slightly different (probably more authentic): "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty... 23 Dec 2007 21:50
Exit completely while in error traps?
Is there a sysRPL command that will exit completely from subroutines all the way to the stack, regardless of whether or not they are contained in multiple error traps? Kind of like a "super KILL"? I ask because I have a couple of communication commands that are generally buried under several error checks from di... 25 Dec 2007 12:17

Issue with Conn4x
Hi, I was trying to use Conn4x with my HP 50g and it doesn't work. I believe the drivers (I'm using Windows Vista). Drivers are working because I can use the calculator with no batteries when connected to the PC, but Conn4x doesn't find the calculator, it freezes "Looking for the calculator". Do you know what I'm... 24 Dec 2007 19:51
HPGCC applications and battery life?
I recently realized that if I run C programs on the HP 50g it seems to drain battery life quicker than normal. When running a C program on the 50g, is the CPU running constantly at full tilt? In normal everyday number crunching, the CPU works for a short time, computes the answer, displays it, and then sits idle fo... 24 Dec 2007 12:11
Navigation Formulas
Remember that little book of programs that came with calculators like the 41C that had all the neat little navigation programs. Distance between points, heading between points, and other stuff - where you entered the longitudes and latitudes. Anyone know where they can be found - my booklets have gone the usual way... 30 Dec 2007 16:31
HP 48GX Died
All of a sudden virtually nothing works. Tried to run all the diagnostics in the manual, tried hard reset. Batteries fresh. So how do I penetrate the HP web pages to get a repair estimate - anyone know. Where are the good places to buy a new 48GX, if it comes to that. I suppose the 48GX has been superceded, but the... 22 Dec 2007 20:25
