Algarisms
I have an HP 50g with "number format" set to standard (total of 12 algarisms). I'd like my RPL program to output a different format, say, 4 algarisms. How do I do it? Daniel. ... 1 Jul 2008 09:14

Rapid variable assignment with lists? Is this possible?
Hi everyone, I have saved a somewhat time consuming but trivial integral into a variable 'H'. This integral takes two temperatures (T1,T2) and 4 heat capacity variables (A,B,C,D). Is there any way I could set this up so I could just pass a list containing values for these variables (T1 T2 A B C D) to the calcula... 30 Jun 2008 16:51
FEM48/49 v5.3 SR6 released
And alas I have to release SR6 shortly after SR5. SR6 fixes a newly introduced (with SR5) and minor bug in the SPLOT routine of the HP49+ and HP50 library: Node and Member numbers were not plotted on correct height at lowest pixel rows of display. SR6 will be on hpcalc.org at next update. Caspar ... 20 Jul 2008 10:24

Calculate the sum of all values in the stack
Hi to all, I'd like to know if there's some trick to calculate the sum of all the existing values of the stack so I can avoid the use of the plus key all the time (sometimes I need to calculate the sum of twenty or more values - integers most of the time - ). Do I need to write a program to do that? If that were... 1 Jul 2008 04:07
LSQ on HP 50g
Hello, I have been experiencing some strange behavior with the 50g's LSQ command. consider the system of equations [[2 1] [ 3 [1 1] *x = 1 [0.5 1]] 1] in order to fit a function to some data points. Employing normal equations (i.e. solving A^T A x = A^T b) to find the least squares... 24 Jun 2008 16:27
HP 50g : free memory in port 2 : 699 KB ?
I have just received the HP 50g. The ROM was the 2.08 version, so I have downloaded the 2.09 ROM and installed it with the connectivity Kit. I have also updated the equation library. The calculator works perfectly, but the port 2 shows only 699 KB of free memory. I have downloaded FlashTools 1.02 to inspect the f... 24 Jun 2008 11:16
Any astronomical "GOTO" programs for 48 to 50
I'm not very familiar with astronomy but it seems like this could be handled by an HP. Orion has a GOTO gizmo which, when fed coordinates from a user's setting rings for two bright stars, translates the information in it's database to user setting rings numbers. This allows the user to find stars in the gizmo's ... 24 Jun 2008 09:13
