Would anyone like to guide me step by step how to do this? I am clueless at this point and would appreciate any help. I do know how to set up xmodem server and conn4x but I get lo... 3 Aug 2008 16:07
Posting encryption UserRPL illegal? I was thinking of posting the code for a surprisingly rapid (it accelerates as it operates) and fairly strong encryption program that doesn't require a lot of imagination to make quite a bit stronger. Does anyone know the current law on this issue? I'd rather not have feds knocking at my door over a program for ... 3 Aug 2008 08:56
streaks on HP48S display I've just unearthed my venerable HP48S for the first time in a while (it's been little-used since my postgraduate days). The system is still functional but the LCD is subject to bad vertical streaking, particularly if the contrast is turned up high, as shown in http://hex.oucs.ox.ac.uk/~rejs/photos/D50/medium/106n... 2 Aug 2008 16:37
Graphic ASM Code for HP49/50 Hello Everyone Still on my quest to better understand Debug4x and use it for porting HP48 software to HP49, i had some good results so far with SysRPL coding, so now is the time for some ASM coding. I typically use ASM for performance-intensive parts of application, graphics being one that come to mind. In thi... 2 Aug 2008 22:46
Significant BASIC differences in updated 49G ROMs I have a co-worker who uses an old 49G. He never updated the ROM (is running 1.10) and doesn't really care one way or another about doing so. He also doesn't do much more than some simple calculations for microwave engineering (designs the antennas on our SAR), doesn't use RPN, doesn't have any programs installed... 3 Aug 2008 14:04

Connectivity question between PC and HP50G I am not particularly experienced with the 50g. I attempted to install a program from hpcacl. The installation consisted of a library. Instructions were sparse. I copied the library, installed it, and found the user directions did not match what I saw on the calculator. The calculator did not lock up. At t... 1 Aug 2008 16:06

Stupid question about HP50g covariance different than excel hello, Does anyone know why the HP50g returns 6.5 as the covariance (with a linear fit) for [[3 9][2 7][4 12][5 15][6 17]] while excel returns 5.2? It looks like the 50 returns the sigma((xi-meanx)(yi-meany))/(n-1) while excel divides by n. a little bit like the difference between the population standard de... 1 Aug 2008 14:02 |
