Are you refering to the advice to disable the program before uninstalling. If only I could find a way. Any ideas? John R
From: Jim McGowan on 21 Sep 2005 02:26 John, you need to give up a bit of detail, if you want help. Who is the developer? No one else here seems to have heard of this application. How did you install it? Windows installer on your desktop, via Activesync? Or a .CAB file directly on your device? And, yes, that previous advice was steps to take before you try to uninstall. For example, if this is a Today screen plugin, it must be deactivated in settings first, as your device cannot remove any application if the app is using Windows files at the time. :) -- Jim McGowan "john redman" <john(a)lixwm.wanadoo.co.uk> wrote in message news:dgfke0$qg2$1(a)newsg4.svr.pol.co.uk... > > "Alan Smith" <alan(a)hidden.email> wrote in message > news:dget63$3hm$1(a)news6.svr.pol.co.uk... >> Post reordered so there is a flow of conversation, not jumping backwards >> and >> forwards >> >> >>> John R >> >>>>> Anyone managed to uninstall this program. They must be disabled first. One way that programs run automatically is by putting a shortcut in the startup folder- deleting this then soft resetting would stop it loading so it should be possible to uninstall it correctly. As Jim has said more info is needed about your program or no-one can offer specific advice. You really need to divulge more about this program if you really want help.

Thanks for all your input. Found it required disabling from the today screen items. Having now done this I was able do uninstall in the normal manner. Surprised no-one had heard of this program, it was a great utility only recently bettered by PocketMate which I am now using.
