Datasheet formatting by date
I have a subform in datasheet form with the fields Date, Type and Note (sorted by Date). There are 4-5 records generally per date. Perhaps, you are frustrated because you think Access should behave in a way which it does not. I think you start with a text-file of lines/records with fields delimited with something? and that you want to import this data into a JET table and edit it in a form. How would you do a checkbook register?
I know I can keep a running total, but I was thinking that this would be very slow after a while and not very efficient. For example, if it calculates everything for three years, that's a lot of number crunching.
