ECS GF8200 Has anyone used the ECS GF8200A motherboard? http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?CategoryID=1&TypeID=43&DetailID=873&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=123&LanID=9 It's fairly new and I haven't found too many reviews of it. It seems to be targeted towards gamers, though I'm wondering if it would... 28 Jun 2008 02:29
Asus M2A-VM: Would a dedicated video card be an improvement? I'm putting together a budget PC based on the Asus M2A-VM motherboard. I'm going to load it up with 2 GB DDR2, an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+, and the OS will be Windows XP (SP2). This machine will *not* be used to play video games, but it will be used for video editing and DVD authoring. It's my understanding that... 30 Jun 2008 11:41

The controller was going bad, so I bought a Xtrastor 3.5 x2 HDD enclosure which supports RAID 1. Anyhow, when I hook it up via USB, it only detects an 8GB... 25 Jun 2008 12:56

Windows Home Server I'm thinking of building a Windows Home Server (WHS). Have any of you done this yet? Have you found it useful or just mildy utilitarian? I haven't put together the parts list yet. I suppose the main thing is a small but accessible case and then of course an adequate number of large HDs. Any thoughts on WHS... 25 Jun 2008 07:47

I can get the product ke... 25 Jun 2008 09:50

DPC's and stuttering mp3 player Wireless adapter died. Bought a D Link DWA 142 Rangebooster to replace it. Holds signal much better than previous one. Works great, but doesn't play nice with other programs. Problem arises when I want to use the computer as a jukebox. Whenever the wireless sends it's query to the network, it spikes the CP... 24 Jun 2008 09:13
PC Cooling Issue Hey there, had a problem that's got me stuck, thought I'd shoot it out and see if anyone could help. My girlfriend has a homebuilt PC, which she keeps in the 'comp cubby' that came with her desk, i.e. a small area under the desk where your tower is supposed to go. Unfortunately, this cubby gets absolutely zero ... 1 Jul 2008 17:28
