Right now I'm managing my inventory through Excel and it's working just fine
but I wanted to try it out on Access. It's not too complicated since I only
have ONE product which I order every month or two from the same manufacturer
and send out to my sites.

In Excel, all I have are rows with information as such:
1. Received item? Yes/No
2. Date sent out
3. Site name (company I send it to)
4. How many boxes
5. Box #
6. Lot #
7. Expiration date
8. Requestor's name
9. Using this product for what reason
10. Additional notes

All I need from this database, besides inputting data, is to be able to see:
1. How many boxes came in and went out this month?
2. How many boxes did a specific company get for this month?

I tried another forum and they gave me a very complicated database to start
out on... Anyone know something easier?

Thanks a bunch!

This would be rather easy to do, however, I do not have a sample db to
offer. If you do a search, I'm sure you can find several web sites offering
sample db's you can look at.

Good luck.

There is an Inventory Database template that ships with Access. It offers a
little more than you are looking for but I think but you should be able to
customize it to your needs.

If you don't have it when you go to File | New | Databases, it can be
downloaded from:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/results.aspx?Scope=TC&Query=inventory+database

(actually there are a few to choose from)
