Hi all:

I want to install Fedora 7 on my Dell server but it only has regular
CD drives. Everywhere I looked I saw the media only available on
DVD's.

Is there a way for me to get it in CD format? like download the ISO
and burn it?

TIA.

John

You can use torrent to download Fedora-7-Live-i686.torrent or
Fedora-7-KDE-Live-i686.torrent then you should be able to install and
upgrade the package and install missing applications.

Take a look at: http://torrent.fedoraproject.org/

regards,

Jean

The DVD has an image for a boot CD. If you boot to the CD, you can
install over a network, in particular from somewhere where you've
mounted the DVD and shared it up.

I downloaded the CDROM iso images for an earlier Fedora to an external USB
drive, formatted FAT32, on a Windows box. Then I connected the USB drive
to the Linux box, and at the boot prompt of the first CD, I specified the
directory on the USB drive.
