From: project109x on 6 May 2008 12:30 Everytime I click Mail, Calendar, or Contacts in Outlook I get a new standard toolbar. I end up with about 15-20 before I know it! I can right click and turn them off but they keep coming back. I can't figure out how to lock toolbar or delete all of them. I reinstalled Outlook and it didn't help. Even when they are turned off I still have hundreds of instances of the standard toolbar to select on or off in the customize toolbar menu. I can see where the delete button is but it is grayed out. Anyone know of a reg key or file I can manipulate? Or at least a hack to lock toolbar in Outlook 2007 so they don't turn keeping coming up? Thanks! From: Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] on 6 May 2008 17:27 What add-ins do you have installed? Google Desktop Search was known to create a load of extra toolbars but a recent update fixed that issue. Start Outlook one time in Safe Mode and see if you get the same behavior. If not, then restart Outlook normally, disable all add-ins and start adding them back one by one until you find the culprit. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. From: Herb Tyson [MVP] on 6 May 2008 17:11 I haven't seen this problem since Outlook 2002: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/312331/ The cure at that time was to find and delete outcmd.dat (there would be multiple copies). outcmd.dat is a hidden system file, so you'll need to enable viewing hidden/system files to find it/them. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word 2007 Bible Blog: http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com Web: http://www.herbtyson.com "project109x" <project109x.39017d(a)DoNotSpam.com> wrote in message news:project109x.39017d(a)DoNotSpam.com... > > Everytime I click Mail, Calendar, or Contacts in Outlook I get a new > standard toolbar.
