From: Stefan Blom on 3 Jul 2008 10:12 Insert a minus sign via the Symbol dialog box (Insert | Symbol in Word 2003; Insert tab | Symbol | More Symbols in Word 2007): Set the "Font" to "(normal text)." Make sure that the dialog box displays Unicode characters, and choose "Mathematical Operators" in the "Subset" box; then you'll find the minus sign easily. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "MIRA" <MIRA(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F0FE451D-19B0-4606-BE03-CAE10C9F665C(a)microsoft.com... > When typing a figure with a leading minus e.g -0.999 , how do you get word > to > recogonise this as an entire figure and not word wrap for example - will > remain at the end of the line and 0.999 will be used to start the next > line > below. > > > Thanks > > > >
