Hello!

I recently purchased an HP desktop which comes with 2 of 512MB 1Rx8
PC2-3200U-333-12.
So the total RAM is 1GB.
I ordered 2 of 1G DDR2 3200 from newegg.com.
But the delivered memories don't fit in the slot.
I compared them with the original memories and the shape is different.
How do you tell DDR from DDR2?

I suspect that the ones from newegg.com are not DDR2 even if the label
says DDR2.
I will call newegg.com but I want to know the fact.

Thanks.

Sam

DDR is 184 pins, while DDR2 is 240 pins in desktops.
