While running a slide show, when I click on a text box that is hyperlinked to
a PDF file a security dialog box appears. How can I avoid this?

See if this helps:

Hello Steve,

Once I disable the hyperlink message, I want to burn the presentation to a
CD. Do I have to have Adobe Reader on the CD to read the PDF?

Thank you... Elaine

You'll need to reread that link first ... disabling the security warning only
works on your own PC; it's not something that has an effect on other PCs.

As far as launching a PDF, whoever plays the presentation would likely need to
have Reader installed; you used to be able to set it up to run from CD but I
don't believe that's possible any longer.

Hi Elaine,

This might help you get around your problem. In the same folder create a
new presentation slide. In this slide you can write something like: ' to
view pdf files
you require Acrobat Reader if not click hear. You can then create a button to
go to adobe site to download acrobat reader. Then create another button this
saying:'if you have arobat reader click here'. Hyperlink this button to
your pdf
file which should be in the same folder. Now save this presentation slide
as a
web page. From your main presentation remove the hypelink to the pdf files
and re do the hyperlink to the web page you have created.

Now when the viewer click this link the page opens in a browser separate to
your main presentation with hypelinks to adobe site to download acrobat
reader or view your pdf files and when everything is shut down you return to
the main presentation. Most importantly no security warning. Why?
Hypelinks to web pages do not bring up the security warning. Hope this has
helped you.
