Next: How do I edit a resume template?
From: Valliegirl84 on 16 Jun 2008 09:16 I changed the normal page margins when I was working on a document. I do this all the time, so it was no big deal. However, everytime I open a new document now, the right margin is at the 6 in. mark on my ruler. When I go into the page setup it says the margin is at 0.5 in. which is where I had it set last. Obviously, that's not where it is though! When I try to change it, I get a pop up message saying "increasing right margin causes last column to become too narrow in some sections having unevenly spaced columns". Can anyone help me at least get the settings back to the default ones of 1.25" and 1"? Thank you!!!!
From: Lene Fredborg on 16 Jun 2008 09:39 Try whether the following solves the problem: Select Format > Columns. In the "Apply to" field, make sure "Whole document" is selected. Click the "One" icon (even if it is selected). Click OK. If it solves the problem, you will need to apply the same change to Normal.dot (since you tell the problem is in all new documents). From: sgt372 on 18 Jun 2008 12:43 You should be able to go page setup, select default and it reverts back to 1.25. From: Suzanne S. Barnhill on 18 Jun 2008 18:54 Selecting "Default..." saves the current settings as the default; it does not cause the document to revert to the default settings. -- Suzanne S.
