Then you need a new soundcard, not a new keyboard. Personally I would just
get a lower-end Audigy unless you plan on a lot of recording and want true
stellar quality. But the price between some Audigys and a good soundcard
isn't that much (and both less than the keyboard you were going to buy). So
hopefully we've saved you some money and a big headache of purchasing a new
keyboard (especially when you like the one you have) and still not having it
work.

First you need to decide if you want to go USB or PCI. Will you only be
recording MIDI or audio too (like vocals, guitar, etc.). And if you want to
record audio, what's the most tracks you'll want to record at a time. If
it's just you or you and a friend, two tracks will be plenty. Answer those
questions and the minimum and maximum you'd like to spend and we'll find you
a soundcard and you should be ready to go.

That's the card you'll likely want if you go PCI. I've got a 4 channel
version and it's great. I also lucked up and got an SBLive Value that has
specs that match it and the Lynx card. Just some fluke. I always wondered
why people were so down on the SBLive's but mine what just an OEM version
Gateway ordered that for reason is pretty awesome.
