From: JoopG on 16 Mar 2005 17:17 On a Dell Inspiron 8200 Notebook with - dual boot - Suse 9.2 en Windows 110g - XP i try to get my pcmcia card - Thomson Speedtouch working. I tried to work with ndiswrapper , because i can't find Linux drivers for this card. I tried the method suggest by Martijn on http://www.xs4all.nl/~mtheunis/linux/speedtouch/speedtouch_en.html but it did not work. When i use ndiswrapper i get the followinf (error) messages: linux:~ # ndiswrapper -l Installed ndis drivers: o4i01a hardware NOT present linux:~ # ndiswrapper -m modprobe config already contains alias directive (the last maybe because i tried several times) In the syslog i found: Mar 15 18:24:36 linux kernel: ndiswrapper (setup_dev:1252): unable to get mac ad dress from driver Mar 15 18:24:36 linux kernel: ndiswrapper (ndis_init_one_pci:1494): Couldn't set up interface Mar 15 18:24:36 linux kernel: o4i01a.sys: probe of 0000:03:00.0 failed with erro r -22 It seems he does not recognize the pcmcia card, though the pcmcia deamon starts and restarts succesfully. I tried cardctl and get this information: linux:~ # cardctl ident Socket 0: no product info available Socket 1: no product info available linux:~ # cardctl status Socket 0: 3.3V CardBus card function 0: [ready] With Windows XP the card works without any problem. Can someone give me some clues for the Suse 9.2 configuration? Joop
