I've inserted Flash into PowerPoint before using the "Shockwave Flash Object"
under "More Controls..." and never had a problem.

Now, all of a sudden, when I try to insert a new "Shockwave Flash Object", I
no longer get the "(Custom)" field at the top of the properties list. Why is
this? And what can I do to fix it?

Hi

Have you upgraded from 03 to 07? In 07 you put the file path in the Movie
field rather than a custom field.
