Is this possible? At work, we use Excel 2003. I have about ½ dozen cells,
with formulas locked, but the rest of the worksheet is unlocked. When I go
to Protect the sheet, I can no longer insert a picture. Can I do both,
protect a formula from being deleted or altered but still be able to insert a
pic into a large cell?

First of all, you cannot insert a piture "into" a cell.

Just lay it on top.

Second............if you allow users to Edit Objects when protecting sheet,
you can insert>object>bitmap image.

Paint will open with a picture frame...............Edit>Paste From

Browse to the picture(any type, jpg is good) and double-click or Open

Will be pasted into the Paint Frame and be inserted in Excel sheet.
