I had a friend purchase an Inspiron 530 a while back with the plan to
install Vista 64 but then found that Dell didnt support it and therefore
there were no drivers available. Now it seems that Dell do offer Vista 64 on
the Inspiron 530
http://www.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/64bit_pcs?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=anavml
but still no drivers on the support page. Am I looking in the wrong place
for drivers or should I simply email Dell and ask for a copy of the drivers.

or you can get there the long way by visiting support.dell.com then entering
your system tag number or model number and then sleecting drivers...

You looked in the correct place, Dell doesn't have them on the support
site yet. You'll have to request them.

Just in case anyone else was interested, Dell now has 64bit drivers
available for the Inspiron 530 on their website.
