I get this error when trying to install matlab:

/tmp/28954tmwinstall/update/bin/glnx86/xsetup: relocation error:
/tmp/28954tmwinstall/update/bin/glnx86/libmwins.so: undefined symbol: _eq_n


I have this version of Linux version 2.4.21-27.0.2.ELsmp.

Anyone have any idea what the problem may be?
